Preparations to launch the
"THE KOOL WATER BOTTLE KLUB" pilot program in the spring of 2008 are being made now.

THE THEORY:
The purpose of the pilot is to test our theory that if children are exposed to information detailing the importance making healthy choices, like drinking more water, and participating in "fun
fitness"daily, and they are given the tools and the support for doing so, they will learn to appreciate both. By participating in this program we believe each student will feel a positive physical change in their body and will be encourage to continue this healthy practice.

THE PILOT PROGRAM: Fifth grade students from a Fulton County Elementary School will receive free bottles of water to be consumed during school hours. The participants will receive a
"Kool Water Bottle" to encourage water consumption at home, a
"DanceXercise" DVD to incorporate in their daily exercise routine and a "Water Log" to journal their success throughout the program. Handouts and weekly presentations will be given to the students to increase their knowledge on nutrition and exercise during the four week period. Weekly prizes that encourages physical activity, like passes to a local skating rink and bowling alley, will be shared with the participants. The school's cluster nurse, clinic assist, teachers and parents will be an involved in the entire process of the program. We believe the adults, especially the parents, are the keys to the students full participation. The grand prize will be a monetary donation given to the class that performs the DanceXercise routine from the DVD the best!

THE GOAL: If our theory is proven correct the Foundation's goal is to sponsor The KOOL WATER BOTTLE KLUB program in elementary schools throughout metropolitan Atlanta.
